1. Pre-milling/Edge Trimming Unit: Mirror-like Smoothness
Even the best sawing leaves tiny saw marks and burrs. This machine is equipped with a pre-milling and edge trimming function, using a large-diameter spiral milling cutter to perform secondary trimming on the top and bottom edges of the board, completely eliminating substrate defects. This results in a smoother bonding surface, eliminating “black lines” even on high-gloss or matte panels, ensuring a seamless connection between the edge banding and the board.
2. Intelligent Glue Application and Pressing: Perfect Fit
* Double-sided Glue Application Technology: A specially structured glue roller ensures even glue application between the edge banding and the board grooves, increasing adhesion strength by 30%.
* Seven-Roll Pressing Structure: Utilizing an eccentric intelligent positioning pressing roller, it reduces impact on the edge banding during high-speed board feeding. An independent drive motor, combined with servo-controlled pressure adjustment, adapts to different board thicknesses, ensuring a tight fit of the edge banding from start to finish, without any “flared” appearance.
3. Trimming and Finishing: Precision Cutting at the Millimeter
* **Precision Tracking Trimming:** Utilizing an automatic tracking device and a high-frequency, high-speed motor, excess edge material is instantly cut off as the board travels. The cut surface is smooth and flat, requiring no secondary processing.
* **Contour Trimming:** For rounded corners or irregular edges, the equipment employs a dual-motor rounded corner trimming unit, easily processing two true radius arcs. Setup is simple and quick. Through a high-speed variable frequency motor and template tracking, excess edge banding material is perfectly removed from the top and bottom of the board, resulting in a smooth, non-scratching finish.
4. **Edge Scraping and Polishing:** A Diamond-like Finish
* **Edge Scraping and Texture Removal:** A high-hardness scraper is used to precisely cut vertically and horizontally, addressing any tiny knife marks that may remain after trimming, achieving a mirror-like finish.
* **Cotton Wheel Polishing:** Finally, a cotton polishing wheel cleans the processed board, removing tiny debris and optimizing the gloss of the edge banding surface.
